Lisa Marshall has been planning events in the metro Washington,DC area for nearly two decades. Lisa earned a received a Bachelor of Education from Atlantic Union College in 1988. She followed this by received a Meeting Planning Certificate. After interning with several event planning and wedding consulting firms, Lisa became passionate about planning weddings. "I saw the stress that brides went through and wanted so badly to help them", stated Lisa in a 1992 magazine article about wedding day stress. "I knew I could. I love bringing lifelong dreams to life."

Lisa soon opened A Special Touch Wedding planning. Although she was qualified to plan any event, she wanted to focus her energy primarily on weddings. She opened her own business, so she would be free of commissions and any other compromising arrangements. She was determined to only serve the interests of her clients.

Lisa has since planned hundreds of memorable weddings. From the spectacular to the simple. Lisa has earned a reputation as the smart choice for anyone wanting to create a magical event.
