will putting a 100% cotton shirt in hot water for just a minute then drying shrink?
i have this size large 100% cotton hand wash cold only hang dry shirt. its white and has GOLD foil decoration all over it randomly. i need it to shrink. im scared if i wash it fully in hot water it will damage it. but if i just drop it in hot water, take it out after a minute, then put it in the hot dryer.. will that work the same? and will it damage it? i can turn it inside out too of course.
What does the cleaning instructions say (should be on the collar tag)? I think you could wash it on delicate, then place in the dryer for a few minutes (but not until it’s dry or you will ruin it). Take it out of the dryer and let it hang to finish drying.
